Terrible Customer Service


It takes weeks for Mercari to solve simple problems. They have no phone number to contact them to help speed things up. If you need to handle more than one issue at a time there are not separate inquiries for that so the mercari customer service representatives have trouble handling multiple requests. I'm not sure their first language is English because they do not seem to understand my concerns at times. The last example was a seller relisting an item I had bought because someone said they would pay more for it. So the seller cancelled mine after I had bought it (2 days after!) This has happened before and Mercari has no policy against it. I displayed my concerns to Mercari about the policy and they said basically, "thank you for your inquiry, we have cancelled your order as requested." They just can not understand me I guess. And they take so long to solve issues you can never submit feature requests. I have what I think are a lot of good ideas that I don't give them because we are always working on some issue I'm having with a seller. Which is another issue, this app is so easily accessible that you get a lot of sellers on there that don't know what they're doing. A lot of orders don't ship, many items come broken. If you do buy something make sure you tell your seller to package carefully. Most know how to of course but I'd say 30% of users who sell have no idea what they are doing and either won't send or won't send correctly. Most of this could be solved however with better customer service.
