Absolutely no response to several inquiries - m18848738

I bought a top on Mercari that was listed as being a name brand by the seller, but when I got the top, it was some off brand and not as described. I wrote the seller a message with my concerns and they said they'd be open to refunding me if I returned it, but couldn't figure out how to do so. The directions Mercari has listed under the FAQ is if an item is not as described, open a dispute for a refund... but there isn't any place to open a dispute! So I wrote them under the "contact us" option in the help center - I wrote a detailed description of the issue (which I think is pretty cut-and-dry) and included the item number, but no response. That was about two weeks ago. I've written them twice since then, with no response. Yet I keep getting emails from them saying "looks like you're received your item - rate the seller" but it also says "do not rate the seller if the item is not as described. Contact us through the help center," which is exactly what I did but with no response!! I feel like I'm running in circles... Poor app, lack of communication and infrastructure to protect buyers.
